CORAL REEF MARINE PARK OF PUERTO MORELOS
Declared a protected natural area by the federal government in 1998, the coral reef located in Puerto Morelos is today a national park with spectacular bio diverse marine life. For this reason the community of Puerto Morelos makes their living by activities related to this ecosystem, be it fishing or another tourist activity or scientific investigation.

More than 600 marine species have been identified, along with 264 species of algae, dolphins, marine turtles under protection, and diverse species of corals, also in state of conservation; however, exploration continues for we know that there is more marine life that has not yet been explored.

WATER SPORTS
On the beaches of Puerto Morelos you can scuba dive, snorkel, or fish something for dinner.
