The Best Universities in Mexico

The education supply in Mexico is vast, however, categorizing the best universities can be based on the way these satisfy the country’s needs and the current world scenario. It also has a profound awareness of the values of social responsibility; it intervenes and supports computer technology programs, supporting basic education, health promoters and various civil organizations. It also maintains a permanent relationship with superior education institutions in all continents.

Its educational model is one of the most innovative in the country, developing a technology platform for efficiently taking advantage of the programs and contents exclusively designed for promoting relevant knowledge, collaboration, self-developed learning and feedback, profoundly identifying with ethical values and principles, giving answers to social needs such as sustainability, equity and human rights.

The Universidad La Salle has also developed an educational platform based on technological development, allowing students the optimization of their time and providing access to substantial information for their learning. It has cable networks in classrooms and labs, high-speed wireless in the library, postgraduate classrooms and open spaces in their campuses. With technology incorporated into this education model, there is a change in paradigms; proactive students and professors. It has an interactive videoconference network operating in real time so professors can use Internet, video and presentations during their class; also using self-learning guides.

The Universidad Anahuac has 9 campuses in the country, where it teaches 28 degrees, under the philosophy of “Leadership with positive action”, which means the intervention in the world is not enough, it must be based on the formation of professionals as agents for change. The University represents the commitment with Mexico, since each of it faculties develop projects for taking care of social problems. Debate, discussions of essential topics, usual in its classrooms, is promoted by its 1,140 professors coming from national and international universities, with great experience and most of them with post-graduate degrees.

Technology has become an essential tool in the formation process, because it represents an opportunity for transmitting more knowledge in a quicker and more efficient manner, and also for linking the University with other universities around the world, offering a vast and heterogeneous vision of the contemporary world’s challenges.

Its education project is centered on the learning called @predeAnáhuac, where the professor is the student’s guide by administering an environment rich in educational resources, especially technological. Also, the Universidad Virtual Anáhuac represents a new teaching model that allows the transmission of knowledge to remote areas; its goal is to enrich the education service through the participation of experts in diverse universities. It dynamically links with business life, through national and international programs. Its continuous formation is represented by 7 Doctorates, 26 masters and 17 specialties.

The Universidad Iberoamericana has been one with greatest tradition in the humanist philosophy of Mexico. It has developed 36 programs of bachelor degrees; it has 3 programs of academic exchange, with a choice of 150 universities of Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America. With values centered on humanism, it is seriously committed to its environment through programs of Social Responsibility, Intercultural and Indigenous Issues, Human Rights, Environment and Migratory Issues Programs, among others. The Universidad Iberoamericana promotes knowledge and academic life through more than 100 titles, with the contribution of renowned intellectuals and academics.

The Instituto Politécnico Nacional was created during one of the country’s crucial moments, when society was facing a challenge of technical development for its industrialization, aspiring to a better life quality. It forms professionals in the areas of science and technology, administration and health science, with innovation, quality and professional excellence as its main goals. IPN has accomplished diverse technological advances from its laboratories. In the area of technological research and development, it is one of the most relevant public institutions.
